What is a whistlemania?
A "whistlemania" is an event where people gather to make whistle kits. Whistle kits include a whistle to alert your community of ICE activity nearby, a zine on how to use the whistle, a red card that gives people a quick reference for their rights in potentially charged situations, and a longer document outlining their legal rights. The packages are then distributed throughout our community and beyond, ensuring we are ready for the next immigration enforcement surge.
Why should I come?
Whistlemanias are a great way to not only protect your community but also connect with like-minded people in your community. With agents expected to come back in force this spring, getting whistles and Know Your Rights information out to our community is one of the best ways we can help the community prepare.
